About

Built on Experience

Eniki was founded in 2014 in Visby, Gotland.

We are an engineering and infrastructure company focused on solving operational problems through networking, software, IoT, and technical infrastructure. Our work ranges from island-wide sensor networks and industrial monitoring systems to network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and security systems.

The company was built on more than 25 years of experience in IT, networking, and infrastructure. Long before IoT became an industry buzzword, we were already building connected systems because they provided practical solutions to real-world problems.

Today, we work with utilities, industrial companies, agricultural businesses, property owners, public organisations, and tourism operators. Some projects involve a single site. Others span entire regions.

While Gotland remains our home base, we also deliver projects throughout Sweden and across the Baltic region, with Estonia being a particular focus.

How We Work

We believe technology should be useful, understandable, and maintainable.

Every project starts with the same question: what problem are we actually solving?

Our role is not to sell products or follow industry trends. It is to understand the requirement, design the right solution, deploy it properly, and ensure it continues to work in day-to-day operation.

We take responsibility beyond installation. Many of the systems we build are still operated, maintained, and continuously developed by us years after deployment. That includes infrastructure, servers, applications, monitoring platforms, and field equipment.

Because we are a small team working closely with trusted local specialists and contractors, we can combine broad technical expertise with practical execution. Customers deal directly with the people designing and supporting their systems rather than layers of management and sales staff.

What We Build

Our background spans cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and monitoring systems.

We were involved in one of Sweden’s earliest large-scale public-sector cloud migrations, delivering everything from planning and implementation to user support and ongoing operation.

We were also early adopters of LoRaWAN technology and have since built the largest commercial IoT network deployment on Gotland, with infrastructure covering the island from north to south and supporting a wide range of operational applications.

Today, we design and operate systems used for environmental monitoring, industrial automation, asset tracking, public information services, security, and infrastructure management.

The best-known public example is Gearkollen, a monitoring service built and maintained by Eniki that provides real-time environmental data from locations across Gotland.

What We Focus On

Our work sits at the intersection of physical infrastructure and digital systems.

We build the networks that collect data, the platforms that process it, and the tools that help organisations act on it. Whether the goal is monitoring climate conditions in a historic building, tracking industrial processes, securing a facility, or connecting remote assets, the objective is always the same:

Deliver systems that work reliably, are straightforward to operate, and continue providing value for years to come.
